Sanding & Brushing

Sanding is an important task to carry out for all turfed surfaces.

It helps to improve drainage and therefore helps reduce damage to the grass surface especially during wetter times of the year. It also promotes better grass growth by helping to break up the layer of thatch that forms at the top of the root layer. Sanding also helps to level out the grass surface giving more level playing pitches and smoother putting greens.

We have the right equipment to ensure accurate spreading of sand where it is needed and brushing the surface after the spreading the sand ensures that it is well worked into the grass surface and gets distributed into the holes/ slits that are made after Verti-Drain and Shockwave aeration.

How much sand you distribute and when you do it is critically important. With over 20 years working on all types of turfed surfaces we know the right amount of sand to distribute for a particular type of surface to ensure that the maximum benefit is achieved.
